AU Pro Basketball Season 4: Week 2 Draft Dots

Here is a list of notes and tidbits related to the AU Pro Basketball Week Two draft.

• Forward Maddy Siegrist and guards Crystal Bradford, Kia Nurse and Tyasha Harris are serving as captains for the first time in their Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball careers … It marks the first time in league history (excluding the inaugural week in 2022) where all four captains are leading a team for the first time. 
• Forward Desi-Rae Young made the largest positive move on the draft board on Monday … The former UNLV product rose 18 spots up the draft board after being taken with the No. 13 choice by Team Bradford. 
• Center Elizabeth Williams was taken with the No. 1 overall selection by Team Harris on Monday afternoon, becoming the ninth player in league history to be picked with the top choice.
• Forward Alissa Pili and guard Odyssey Sims were selected in the first round of the draft for the second week in a row … Pili was chosen with the No. 2 selection by Team Nurse, while Sims followed with the third overall pick by Team Siegrist.
• Forward Maddy Siegrist chose four of her Week One teammates to join her squad for Week Two – forward Isabelle Harrison and guards Taj Cole, Charisma Osborne and Sequoia Holmes. 
• Guard Crystal Bradford, meanwhile, will have guards Bria Hartley, Suriya McGuire and Jaylyn Sherrod as teammates for the second week in a row … The quartet helped Team Westbrook author a 2-1 record in the opening segment of the season. 
• Guards Kia Nurse and Evina Westbrook will be teammates for the second straight week after Nurse picked Westbrook in the third round on Monday. 
• Guard Tyasha Harris and forward Elizabeth Williams will be on the same team for the second week in a row after Williams was the No. 1 overall selection by Harris on Monday.
• Five players are wearing the same jersey color for the second week in a row – guards Kenisha Bell and Kierstan Bell, forwards Dorie Harrison and Theresa Plaisance, and center Angel Jackson. 
• After wearing the Blue jersey just once in her first nine career AU Pro Basketball weeks, guard Kierstan Bell will don the Blue top for the second straight week after being selected by Team Nurse in the Week Two draft. 
• Guard Crystal Bradford is wearing the Gold jersey for just the second time in her Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball career … She also wore Gold during Week Four of the 2023 campaign. 
• Guard Taj Cole will be wearing the Orange jersey for a career-high seventh time in Week Two after being taken by Team Siegrist … She has worn either the Gold or Orange jersey in each of the last four weeks dating back to last season. 
• Cole has worn the Orange jersey more than any player in AU Pro Basketball history. 
• Guard Sydney Colson will don the Blue top for just the second time in her four-year Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball career after being selected by Team Nurse on Monday … She has not worn the Blue jersey since Week Three during the 2023 campaign. 
• Forward G’mrice Davis is joining the Blue team for the first time in her AU Pro Basketball career. 
• Guard Rebecca Harris will be wearing the Purple jersey for the sixth time in her four-year AU Pro Basketball career, the most of any jersey color … She has worn the Purple top in three of her last five weeks dating back to last season. 
• Forward Isabelle Harrison is a member of the Orange team for the third time in the last four weeks dating back to last season. 
• Guard Suriya McGuire will be wearing the Gold top for the sixth time in her 11-week AU Pro Basketball career. 
• Forward Theresa Plaisance will be playing on the Purple team for the sixth time in her AU career. 
• Guard Odyssey Sims is wearing the Orange jersey for just the third time in her AU Pro Basketball career, including two of the last three weeks dating back to last season … She also donned the Orange top in Week One during the 2023 campaign.
