Biography
Personal: Morrow is the daughter of Nafeesah and Edward Morrow. Her father played football at Nebraska. Her mother played basketball at Nebraska. Her brother, Ed, played basketball at Nebraska and Marquette. Her older sister, Nazlah, played basketball at Miami Dade Junior College and DePaul. She led Simeon High School to its first state title in 2020.
Other Professional Experience: Morrow was the No. 7 overall selection by the Connecticut Sun during the 2025 WNBA Draft. She was a starter in 23-of-41 games as a rookie who tallied 7.7 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. She notched 13 double-digit scoring efforts, including a season-high 20 points at Seattle on June 27, 2025. She also added 11 rebounds to collect her first career double-double. She closed her rookie season with 10 or more rebounds in six of her final eight games, including a season-best 15 caroms against New York on August 25, 2025.
At DePaul and LSU: Morrow was a two-year letter winner at DePaul before completing her college career at LSU. She accumulated 2,852 total points. She ranks third in NCAA Division I history with 1,714 career rebounds. She is one of two players in NCAA Division I history with 100 or more career double-doubles. She also stands as one of eight players in NCAA Division I history with 2,500 career points and 1,500 career rebounds. She led NCAA Division I in rebounding as a freshman and senior. She grabbed 20 or more rebounds in a game seven times during her career. She earned nine All-America certificates during her career, including First-Team notice from USBWA, WBCA, and the Wooden Award as a senior at LSU. She also logged Second-Team All-America notice from the Associated Press and USBWA during her freshman year at DePaul. She is the first player in LSU history to claim the Basketball Hall of Fame’s Katrina McClain Award as the nation’s top power forward after receiving the honor in the 2024-25 season. She led NCAA Division I with 30 double-doubles while pacing LSU with 18.7 points and a nation-leading 13.5 rebounds per game. She posted a pair of games with 20 or more points and 20 or more rebounds, including a 23-point, 21-rebound effort at Tennessee. She was a starter in 34-of-37 games as a junior who notched 22 double-doubles to rank fifth in the nation. She averaged 16.4 points and 10.0 rebounds per game en route to securing Honorable Mention All-America plaudits from the Associated Press and USBWA. She fashioned 53 double-doubles in 66 career games at DePaul. She tallied 1,570 points and 860 rebounds over two seasons at DePaul. She ranked fourth in the nation in scoring as a sophomore with a 25.7 average while adding 12.2 rebounds per outing. She joined LSU’s Angel Reese as the only other player in the nation to rank in the top 10 in scoring and rebounding during the 2022-23 season. She was honored as the 2021-22 National Freshman of the Year by The Athletic, WBCA, and USBWA after leading NCAA Division I with 13.8 rebounds per game. She also paced the Blue Demons in scoring with a 21.9 clip while starting all 33 games. She registered 23 consecutive double-doubles from December 5, 2021, to February 27, 2022, which stands as the seventh-longest streak in NCAA Division I history. She set the DePaul single-game scoring record with a 45-point outburst against Northwestern on December 10, 2022. She also holds the Wintrust Arena single-game scoring standard with a 42-point effort against Cleveland State on November 15, 2022. She grabbed a career-high 27 rebounds against Seton Hall on January 30, 2022, the second-highest single-game total in DePaul history.
