Taylor VanThof
Biography
Personal: VanThof is currently an assistant women's lacrosse coach at Penn State. She previously served as an assistant coach for the Ohio State women's lacrosse team. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her golden retriever named Ridley. Her older sister, Taryn, was also a standout lacrosse player at Loyola and played in the inaugural season of Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse in 2021. VanThof earned her bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus in marketing from Loyola Maryland in 2019 and completed her master's degree in sport management from Ohio State in 2022.
2022 Season: In the 2022 season, VanThof collected 626 leaderboard points and had a season-high of 107 points in a game against Team Waters on July 23. She appeared in all 12 games and scored six goals with four assists. VanThof also had a goal in six consecutive games from July 23 to August 4.
2021 Season: In the 2021 season, VanThof ended with 1,180 leaderboard points. She scored eight goals, including a two-pointer, with an assist in 15 games. Her season-high of 153 leaderboard points came against Team Ohlmiller on August 7. She also had four games where she scored 100 or more points. VanThof registered a goal in three consecutive games from August 7 to August 14.
Other Professional Experience: VanThof has previous professional experience playing in the Women's Professional Lacrosse League with the Philadelphia Fire. In the 2019 season, she scored four goals and also had three draw controls and two caused turnovers.
At Loyola Maryland: During her college career at Loyola Maryland from 2014-2017, VanThof started in 61 out of 78 games. She scored 103 goals with 26 assists and ranks second in Loyola history with 392 career draw controls. She also holds the school record for most draw controls in a season with 146 in 2017. VanThof received multiple accolades during her college career, including being a two-time IWLCA All-America Second Team selection and a recipient of the 2019 Patriot League Midfielder of the Year award.
