Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse returns a pair of University of Southern California Trojans to the roster for the upcoming 2023 season. Midfielders Amanda Johansen and Kelsey Huff both signed to compete with the league this summer.

Amanda Johansen’s progression through AU Lacrosse is a unique one. In the inaugural season, she began as a facilitator before joining the roster in Week 3.

On her return last year, she finished seventh in the league with 1,372 leaderboard points. She concluded the season third in draw controls (41), fourth overall in ground balls (25), and sixth in caused turnovers for her opponents (14).

She leads in career two-point goals with nine.

Johansen was a four-year letter winner for the Trojans who started all 77 games from 2013-16.

Kelsey Huff entered last season as one of the leagues’ rookies and it was a hot start to her pro career.

She finished ninth overall on the leaderboard with 1,342 points while starting 9-of-12 games. She recorded 100 or more leaderboard points in a game seven times with 18 goals on the season.

Huff stands fourth on the league’s list for single-season two-point goals and was the second-winningest athlete in the league, only behind Sam Apuzzo for most win points.

The midfielder was a five-year letter winner for the Women of Troy who started 74 games from 2018-22. She ranks fourth in school history with 191 career points.

Tickets are on sale now for the start of the season on July 20 at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks Glencoe, MD.
