The Omaha Supernovas have made a strong push toward the top of the Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF) standings, securing their sixth win in the last seven matches with a dominant three-set sweep. The victory ties them with the Orlando Valkyries at 10-4, although Orlando now holds a slight lead at 11-4 after an additional game later in the week.

The victory was a total team effort, highlighted by standout performances from Kayla Caffey, Brooke Nuneviller, and setter Natalia Valentín-Anderson, all Athletes Unlimited stars who know how to rise to the occasion.

The Supernovas were firing on all cylinders, hitting an impressive .339 as a team, marking their sixth .300-plus hitting performance in franchise history. They also recorded eight blocks and tied their season high with five aces, two stat lines that go hand-in-hand when considering that forcing an opposing team into out-of-system situations will result in easier blocking opportunities. Omaha also set a new franchise record with 64 total team points in a three-set match, further showcasing their dominance.

Kayla Caffey: A Versatile Middle Blocker Who Does It All

Kayla Caffey’s performance was a key factor in Omaha’s success. The middle blocker posted six kills on an outstanding .455 hitting percentage, adding two blocks and an ace to her stat line. Her efficiency on offense resulted from her smart shot selection and quick reactions at the net. Caffey’s blocking continues to be one of the team’s most consistent strengths, disrupting the opposition’s attacks and forcing them into difficult situations.

Brooke Nuneviller: An Irreplaceable Threat

Brooke Nuneviller continues to shine as a versatile outside hitter. She registered 11 kills on a .308 hitting clip, marking her sixth .300-plus performance in the last seven matches. Nuneviller is not only a key offensive threat but also a standout on defense, finishing with a match-high 15 digs. Her all-around game—coupled with two aces and four assists—was crucial in Omaha’s sweeping victory. Nuneviller’s ability to contribute in multiple areas makes her an indispensable piece of the team.

Natalia Valentín-Anderson: The Heart of Omaha’s Offense

Setter Natalia Valentín-Anderson orchestrated Omaha’s offensive flow, registering 40 assists in the win—her fifth time reaching that mark this season. Her decision-making and ability to deliver pinpoint sets allowed the Supernovas to hit .339 for the match. Valentín-Anderson’s leadership and versatility are key to Omaha’s success, as she consistently places the ball in positions where her hitters can thrive.

As the Supernovas continue to climb the standings, they now turn their attention to a pair of road matches in Indy and Orlando. Omaha faces the Indy Ignite on Thursday, March 13, at 6 p.m. ET and will take on the Orlando Valkyries on Saturday, March 15, at 7 p.m. ET.
