Captains Sam Apuzzo, Charlotte North, Taylor Moreno, and Ally Kennedy drafted their teams for Week Four of the 2024 Athletes Unlimited Pro Lacrosse season during Monday’s draft.

Here is a list of notes and tidbits related to the AU Pro Lacrosse Week Four draft.

  • Attacker Sam Apuzzo is serving as a captain for the 12th consecutive week, marking the longest streak by an Athletes Unlimited athlete in any sport … Guard Odyssey Sims (basketball) spent 11 straight weeks as a captain to hold the previous record.
  • Apuzzo enters Week Four with a 24-9 all-time record as a captain, marking the most victories by any captain in AU Pro Lacrosse history … The former Boston College standout has authored a 5-4 record this season, including a perfect 3-0 mark during Week Two.
  • Apuzzo has now had 72 different players on her teams during her 12-week streak … Midfielder Dempsey Arsenault has been selected to Apuzzo’s teams nine times, while defender Lizzie Colson has been on the Team Apuzzo roster seven times.
  • Apuzzo is wearing the Gold jersey for just the third time in her Athletes Unlimited Pro Lacrosse career, including her second week in a row … The only other time she donned the Gold top was during Week Five of the inaugural 2021 campaign.
  • Apuzzo carries four of her Week Three team members over to her roster in Week Four, including midfielder Dempsey Arsenault, defender Abby Bosco, attacker Erin Coykendall and defender Marge Donovan
  • Goalkeeper Taylor Moreno begins her 11th consecutive stint as a captain and will lead the Blue squad into the final week of the season … The two-time reigning Athletes Unlimited Pro Champion titleist is donning the Blue top for the second time in three weeks after not wearing it once in her first eight career weeks.
  • Moreno owns a 17-13 career record as a team captain, including a league-best 6-3 mark this season … She ranks second on the league’s all-time lists for wins and games as a captain behind Apuzzo.
  • Moreno’s Week Four roster will have a similar look to the Week Three group after the team captain selected eight of her teammates from last week again on Monday.
  • Attacker Charlotte North wears Orange for the third time in her AU Pro Lacrosse career, including the second instance this season … She also opened the campaign on the Team Apuzzo roster.

  • Midfielder Ally Kennedy will have four of her Week Three teammates joining her in Week Four – goalkeeper Britt Read, midfielder Haley Warden, attacker Kailyn Hart and defender Trinity McPherson
  • Offense was the name of the game in Monday’s Week Four draft as attackers and midfielders accounted for the first 13 picks … Rookie Sydney Scales was the first defender taken in the proceedings, going to Team North in the fourth round (No. 14 overall).
  • Attacker Izzy Scane became the first player in Athletes Unlimited Pro Lacrosse history to be taken with the No. 1 overall pick three times in the same season after going to Team Kennedy on Monday … Scane also becomes the first player in league history to be selected first overall three times in a career.
