Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball has signed guard Kia Nurse to compete in the 2025 season in Nashville, Tennessee.

A seven-year WNBA veteran, Nurse was selected in the 2018 WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty with the 10th overall pick. She played with the Liberty for three seasons and was named a WNBA All-Star in 2019. Nurse was traded to the Phoenix Mercury and Seattle Storm, playing with both franchises for a year. Nurse most recently appeared in 40 games with 27 starts with the Los Angeles Sparks in the 2024 season. She averaged 7.6 points per game.

Nurse is a UConn alum, playing for the Huskies from 2014 to 2018. She was the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year in 2016 and AAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2018.

A native of Hamilton, Ontario, Nurse has represented the Canadian National Team at three Olympic Games: Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020, and Paris 2024. She has also competed with Team Canada at three FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cups, highlighted by a fourth-place finish in 2022 for Canada’s best result in the tournament since 1986.

The fourth season of AU Pro Basketball will run from Feb. 5 to March 2, 2025, at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium. Group and season ticket deposits are available now.
