The reigning Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball Champion is back.

Brittany Abercrombie, who stormed onto the AU leaderboard as a rookie and never looked back, will return for the 2025 Championship to defend her crown. The opposite became the first non-outside hitter in league history to win the title, finishing atop the 2024 leaderboard with 4,521 points.

Abercrombie ranked second in the league with 232 kills across 15 matches, hitting .255 on 582 total swings. She was one of the most efficient scorers in the league and committed just 51 attack errors all season. Her consistency and clutch scoring helped her earn MVP recognition in 11 matches, tied for the most among all players.

She took over the Gold captain jersey in Week Two and never gave it up, leading her squads to a 10-2 record, tied for the best captain mark across all AU sports. Abercrombie’s eight-match win streak to begin her captaincy matched the longest by any captain in AU history.

Abercrombie led the league with 2,020 win points, and added 891 stat points and 1,610 MVP points to round out her dominant 2024 campaign.

Since her breakout AU season, Abercrombie added another title to her resume in the Pro Volleyball Federation. She led the Orlando Valkyries to a championship in their second season, guiding the team to an 18-10 regular season record and capping it off with a four-set win over the Indy Ignite in the title match.

Abercrombie was named PVF Most Valuable Player after setting league records for kills, kills per set, attacks, and points. She delivered 27 kills with a .387 hitting percentage in the championship and earned All-League and Opposite Hitter of the Year honors along the way.

From MVP to MVP, and championship to championship, Abercrombie returns to AU as the player to beat.

The 2025 AU Pro Volleyball Championship will feature 44 of the world’s top volleyball players in an exclusive, high-stakes tournament to determine the ultimate champion of the sport. These elite athletes, handpicked from the best domestic and international pro leagues, will face off in the nation’s premier volleyball hubs in Omaha, Nebraska, at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena (October 1-15) and in Madison, Wisconsin, at the Alliant Energy Center (October 22 – November 3). Series ticket deposits for both locations are now available here.
