Biography
Personal: Rhatigan comes from a lacrosse family, with her father, Wayne Rhatigan, playing lacrosse at Pfeifer University, and both of her brothers, Dylan and Kyle, playing lacrosse at UMass Lowell and Limestone, respectively.
2023 Season: In the 2023 season, Rhatigan was one of 11 players selected in the Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse College Draft.
At Northwestern: Rhatigan played a crucial role in leading the Wildcats to their first NCAA championship since 2012, with a remarkable 21-1 record. Rhatigan's outstanding performance earned her a nomination for the 2023 Tewaaraton Award. She also received Second-Team All-America honors from IWLCA and USA Lacrosse Magazine, as well as Honorable Mention All-America recognition from Inside Lacrosse. Rhatigan was named to the IWLCA All-West/Midwest Region First Team. During her time at Northwestern, Rhatigan proved to be a valuable asset to the team, ranking as the third-leading scorer with 73 points and second on the squad with 62 goals. She was selected as a First-Team All-Big Ten Conference player and tied for third place in the league for points, as well as sharing fourth place on the goals list. Rhatigan consistently scored in all 18 appearances, including 13 games with three or more goals.
At Mercer: Rhatigan played for Mercer, where she started 59 games from 2019-2022. She holds the record for the most career points at Mercer with 298, including 228 goals and 70 assists. Rhatigan had an exceptional 2022 season, setting a school record with 121 points, scoring 93 goals with 28 assists. She also set a single-season record with 22 free-position goals. Rhatigan was a three-time All-Conference First Team performer at Mercer and was named the 2019 Southern Conference Freshman of the Year. She led the Bears to victory in the SoCon Tournament in 2019, 2021, and 2022, earning the title of Tournament MVP in 2019.
