Biography
Personal: Schimmel is the daughter of Rick Schimmel and Cecilee Moses. She has a 6-year-old son named Jedi. Her sister, Shoni, played basketball at Louisville from 2010-2013 and went on to enjoy a four-year career in the WNBA.
Other Professional Experience: Jude Schimmel played for Cadi La Seu in Spain during the 2017 season, where she averaged 5.5 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.
At Louisville: Schimmel was a four-year letter winner at Louisville, appearing in 135 games for the Cardinals from 2011-2015. She helped the Cardinals reach the 2013 NCAA Final Four®. She tallied 711 points with 392 assists and 221 steals. As a senior, she started in all 34 games and averaged 7.6 points, 3.8 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per contest. She posted 13 double-digit scoring outputs while collecting 74 steals. As a junior, she played in 33 games with five starts and finished second on the team with 54 steals while contributing 5.6 points and 3.5 assists per outing. During her sophomore season, she saw action in all 38 games and posted a 5.7 scoring average while dishing out 2.8 assists per contest. As a freshman, she appeared in 30 games and ranked third on the team with 41 assists.
