Personal: Jones is the daughter of Monique and Patrick Jones. She has an older brother named Cameron. Her mother played basketball at Metro State, while her father played basketball at Colorado College. Her cousin, DeLisha Milton-Jones, is a two-time Olympic Gold medalist in addition to winning two Gold medals at FIBA World Cup. Jones was born in Santa Cruz, Calif., but grew up in Riceboro, Ga.
Other Professional Experience: Jones was the no. 6 overall pick in 2023 WNBA Draft by the Atlanta Dream. She appeared in 40 games with six starts as a rookie. She averaged 3.7 points and 2.4 rebounds per contest. Jones reached double figures in scoring four times, including season-high 23 points against Las Vegas on August 22, 2023. She nearly recorded a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds at New York on June 13, 2023.
International Experience: Jones led Team USA to a Gold medal at 2021 AmeriCup, averaging 5.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. She also won a Gold medal with Team USA at 2018 FIBA U-17 World Cup in Minsk, Belarus. She was named to the All-Star Five after averaging 10.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists over seven starts. Jones competed at the 2019 USA 3x3 U-18 National Championship and earned second place finish. She is one of six players selected to participate at 2009 NCAA Next Generation event in Tampa, Fla., as part of the NCAA Final Four. She has also participated at the Team USA trials at U-19, U-17 and U-16 levels.
College Experience: Jones was a four-year letter winner at Stanford who started 111-of-118 games from 2019-23. She completed her college career with 1,535 points. She ranks 10th in program history with 889 career rebounds and ninth with 7.5 career rebounding average. She finished her career as the only player in Stanford history with 1,400 points, 800 rebounds, 350 assists and 100 blocked shots. She guided the Cardinal to the 2021 NCAA championship along with three Pac-12 Conference crowns. She also helped Stanford secure a pair of Pac-12 Tournament titles. She was a three-time All-America honoree by the Associated Press and USBWA. She also claimed WBCA All-America honors as a junior. Jones was a finalist for the 2022 Naismith Trophy. She was a three-time finalist for Cheryl Miller Award. She was recognized as 2022 Pac-12 Player of the Year by the league’s coaches. She earned three All-Pac 12 commendations from the league’s coaches and media members. She was honored as the 2021 NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player. Jones is a two-time NCAA Final Four All-Tournament Team performer. She also collected Most Outstanding Player notice at the 2022 Pac-12 Tournament and NCAA Spokane Regional. She was a starter in all 35 games as a senior who averaged 13.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. She also dished out 4.0 assists per outing. She is the only player in NCAA Division I to average at least 13 points, nine rebounds and four assists per game in the 2022-23 campaign. Sbe paced the Cardinal in assists as a junior with 3.7 average while ranking second in scoring (13.2 rpg) and rebounding (7.9 rpg). She led the team in rebounding as a sophomore with 7.4 average while ranking second in scoring (13.2 ppg) and assists (2.9 apg). Jones started 13-of-18 games as a freshman before being sidelined with an injury.
