Alissa Pili





Biography
Personal: Pili is the daughter of Billy and Heather Pili and is one of nine children in her family. Her older brother, Brandon, played football at USC. She was a three-time Gatorade Alaska Player of the Year at Dimond High School and holds the Alaska state high school scoring record with 2,614 points. She was a three-sport athlete in high school who also competed on the volleyball and track and field teams.
Other Professional Experience: Alissa Pili was selected with the No. 8 overall pick by the Minnesota Lynx during the 2024 WNBA Draft. She appeared in 22 games off the bench as a rookie and contributed 2.4 points and 1.2 rebounds per contest. She scored a season-high 20 points against Phoenix on May 31, 2024, where she converted 7-of-9 shots from the field, including all four three-point attempts. She also grabbed a season-high four rebounds in that game.
International Experience: Pili was one of 13 athletes named to the 2024 USA Basketball 3x3 Women’s National Team development camp.
At USC: Pili played her first three seasons at USC before transferring to Utah for her final two years. She appeared in 128 total games over her five-year career from 2019-2024 and finished with 2,168 career points, 779 rebounds, and 91 blocked shots. At Utah, she started 64 of 65 games in two seasons and tallied 1,370 points with 396 rebounds for the Utes. She was a two-time Associated Press and USBWA All-America choice, including Second-Team distinction after the 2022-23 campaign. She also garnered WBCA All-America notice in her first season at Utah.
Pili earned Second-Team All-America commendation from The Athletic in 2023-24 and was a member of the 2023-24 The Sporting News All-America Third Team. She was a two-time First-Team All-Pac-12 Conference honoree at Utah and was named the 2022-23 Pac-12 Player of the Year. She owns the Utah career record after averaging 21.1 points per game in two seasons and became the fastest player in Utah history to accumulate 1,000 points after reaching the milestone in just 48 games. She set a Utah single-season record by scoring 727 points during the 2023-24 campaign and was the second-leading scorer in the Pac-12 with a 21.4 average. She authored 32 double-digit scoring outputs, including 20 games with 20 or more points. She erupted for a career-high 37 points against No. 1 South Carolina (December 10, 2023) and No. 6 USC (January 19, 2024). She scored the 2,000th point of her college career in a 20-point effort against UCLA on February 22, 2024.
Pili led the Pac-12 in scoring (20.7) and field goal percentage (.590) during the 2022-23 season. She netted 20 or more points in a game 18 times, including a season-best 33 points against Gardner-Webb in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. At USC, she earned a starting assignment in 58 of 63 games over three seasons and averaged 12.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest. She started 18 of 19 games during the 2021-22 campaign and averaged 7.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per appearance. She earned Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 commendation after scoring 11.0 points per outing in 2020-21. She was named the 2020 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year after leading the Women of Troy with 16.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. She also fashioned 11 double-doubles in her rookie campaign.
