NASHVILLE — Forward Maddy Siegrist matched her season high with 35 points, including 19 in the opening quarter, as Team Siegrist began Week Three of the 2025 Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball season with a convincing 98-80 victory over Team [Isabelle] Harrison at Nashville Municipal Auditorium on Wednesday evening.

Siegrist, who posted her second 30-point performance in the last three games, earned her seventh straight Game MVP citation after claiming MVP 1 honors and a career-high 880 leaderboard points. The former Villanova star was 13-for-21 from the field, including a 4-of-5 showing from three-point range, and sank 5-of-6 free throws while grabbing nine rebounds.

Guard/forward McKenzie Forbes came off the bench to secure MVP 2 accolades after chipping 12 points with four rebounds and four assists, giving her a season-high 573 leaderboard points.

Guard Shey Peddy also earned Game MVP notice after coming off the bench to score 15 points. Peddy, a former Temple standout, was 6-for-8 from the field and closed the evening with a season-best 624 leaderboard points.

Guard Rebecca Harris added 11 points with three rebounds off the bench, while forward Asia Taylor converted 4-of-8 field goal attempts en route to a 10-point outing.

Captain Isabelle Harrison anchored five Team Harrison players in double figures with a season-high 23 points, knocking down 7-of-17 field goal attempts in addition to a 9-for-10 effort from the free throw line.

Guard Sequoia Holmes added 14 points with six rebounds, while forward Alissa Pili contributed 15 points on a perfect 6-of-6 from the field, including making all three of her attempts from beyond the arc.

Guard Bria Hartley netted 13 points with five assists to go with 10 points from guard Lexie Brown in the loss for Team Harrison.

KEY MOMENT

Team Siegrist surged ahead in the first quarter by going on a 21-8 run, including 15 points from Siegrist, to claim a 21-9 advantage it did not relinquish. Team Siegrist led by as many as 21 points in the fourth quarter to seal the verdict.

LEADERBOARD IMPACT

Siegrist takes over the top spot on the season leaderboard with 4,347 points pending the results of Wednesday’s second game between Team Sims and Team Caldwell. Guard Kia Nurse rose six spots on the league standings with Team Siegrist’s victory.

NOTES OF INTEREST

  • Team Siegrist initiated a captain’s challenge on a foul called against Taylor with 4:03 remaining in the second quarter, which was unsuccessful.
  • Team Nurse also requested a captain’s challenge in the fourth quarter on an out-of-bounds call, which was unsuccessful.
  • Wednesday’s game marked the first time in AU Pro Basketball history where the quarter win points have rolled over in back-to-back quarters after Team Siegrist and Team Harrison tied the second and third periods … Team Siegrist claimed all of the rollover win points as a result of its 20-15 score in the final frame.
  • Team Siegrist fashioned the eighth win points sweep in Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball history, including the fourth occurrence this season … Siegrist has been the captain for two of the four sweeps.
  • Led by Peddy, Team Siegrist held a commanding 38-5 advantage in bench points on Wednesday night … The 38 bench points stand as the sixth-highest single-game total in league history, including the second-best total this season.

  • Forbes and Peddy each claimed their first career Game MVP selections, becoming the 17th and 18th players to earn Game MVP honors this season.
