Celebrities, Basketball Icons Coming to Dallas for AU Celebrity Hoops Classic

Celebrities, basketball icons, Texas legends and more will gather in Dallas on March 16 for the AU Celebrity Hoops Classic, hosted by Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball at Fair Park Coliseum.

The exhibition game will take place immediately following that day’s AU Pro Basketball action (games tip off at 2pm and 5pm CT). Fans with tickets for that day’s games will be invited to enjoy the AU Celebrity Hoops Classic at no additional charge (tickets now available). 

The event will honor legends of women’s basketball in Texas who will be in attendance, including: 

• Sheryl Swoopes, Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer, three-time Olympic Gold Medalist, NCAA Champion with Texas Tech, four-time WNBA Champion with the Houston Comets, and a member of the Athletes Unlimited Advisory Board. 
• Cheryl Ford, four-time WNBA All-Star and three-time WNBA Champion who also played with the Dallas Fury (NWBL)
• Elizabeth Galloway-McQuitter, pioneering former WBL player and college coach from Rockdale, Texas and the President of Legends of the Ball.
• Fran Harris, NCAA Champion at The University of Texas and a WNBA Champion with the Houston Comets. 
• NeKeisha Henderson, former player at the University of Texas and in the WNBA with the Houston Comets 
• Retha Sidwell, one of the first All-Americans to play for the University of Texas, where she holds the record for most rebounds in school history, and went on to play in the WBL. 
• Debra Thomas, earned All-State honors while at Center High School in Texas, and became the first player at Panola Junior College to be named an NJCAA All American. Went on to play at Stephen F. Austin University and with the Iowa Cornets in the WBL.
• Danielle Viglione, former player at the University of Texas and in the WNBA, Owner and Trainer Sacramento Skills Academy
