Over 1,200 Metro Nashville Public School students attended the AU Pro Basketball Wednesday matinee at Nashville Municipal Auditorium.

AU Pro Basketball Welcomes Over 1200 Students for Field Trip Day

The Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball School Field Trip Game presented by the U.S. Air Force brought over 1,200 students to the Nashville Municipal Auditorium as Team Nurse faced Team Siegrist for a Wednesday matinee game.

The students represented 15 Metro Nashville Public Schools, including:

  • Brick Church Middle School
  • DuPont Hadley Middle School
  • Haynes Middle School
  • Head Magnet Middle School
  • Hermitage Elementary
  • Maplewood High School
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Academic Magnet School
  • Moses McKissack Middle School
  • Rocketship United Academy
  • Smith Springs Elementary School
  • Stratford STEM Magnet School
  • Stratton Elementary School
  • Warner Elementary Arts Magnet School
  • Two Rivers Middle School
  • West End Middle School

“I absolutely am a believer in ‘see her be her’ and what these young ladies are doing is giving all these kids an opportunity to see something that they too can become,” said Sheryl Swoopes during the game’s broadcast on ESPN+.

 

The students were joined by Nashville mascots Tigerman (Tennessee State University), Lightning (Middle Tennessee State University), Bruiser (Belmont University), Booster (Nashville Sounds), Gnash (Nashville Predators), and Tempo (Nashville SC).
