Athletes Unlimited Softball Celebrates Voter Registration Day with 98% of Players Ready to Vote
With a historic presidential election on the horizon, every eligible American voter should exercise this fundamental right. To celebrate National Voter Registration Day, Athletes Unlimited is proud to announce that 98% of its world class softball players have been registered to cast their vote and have their voices heard on Nov. 3.
Athletes Unlimited has teamed up with “Rally the Vote,” a 20-team, nonpartisan coalition comprised of professional sports franchises across the NBA, NFL, MLB, MLS, WNBA and NWSL, focused on encouraging fans to get in the game and have their voices heard by registering to vote and participating in elections.
“With all of the challenges and uncertainty facing our country today, it is critical we all exercise our right to vote for positive change,” said Jazmyn Jackson, player and member of Athletes Unlimited’s Racial Equity Working Group. “Having members of our league registered to vote was an important goal for us, and we encourage our fellow athletes participating in “Rally the Vote” to do their part and be heard on election day.”
