Biography
Personal: Rebecca Harris is a member of Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball’s Player Executive Committee. She grew up living abroad as part of a military family and spoke Tagalog as a child. She models her game after Allen Iverson, Michael Jordan, and Sheryl Swoopes. She has coached at the high school and collegiate levels. Her hobbies include reading, making content to help young athletes, writing, and completing word search puzzles. She authored the book “How Bad Do YOU Want It?” She also works as a motivational speaker, trainer, and entrepreneur. She would be a travel blogger if she was not playing basketball. She enjoys writing, reading, traveling, and helping young athletes reach their potential. She participated in band as a child along with playing numerous sports, including soccer, baseball, softball, flag football, and swimming. She has worn No. 30 since high school.
2025 Season: During the 2025 season, Rebecca Harris posted the best finish of her Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball career after earning 13th place in the league standings with 3,696 leaderboard points. She compiled 2,760 win points with 846 stat points and surpassed 400 leaderboard points in a game four times. She authored a 7-5 game record, including a 4-2 mark during the first two weeks. She tallied six double-digit scoring efforts and appeared in all 12 games. She earned a starting assignment in the Week Four opener against Team Siegrist. She averaged 8.5 rebounds and 2.8 rebounds per outing. Harris shot 42.5 percent from the field, including a 16-of-31 (.516) effort from three-point range. She fashioned four consecutive double-digit scoring outputs from February 12-19, averaging 13.5 points per outing during the run. 2024 Season: In the 2024 season, she compiled 2,739 leaderboard points during her third Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball season. She authored a 7-5 record, including a perfect 3-0 mark in Week One and Week Four. She appeared in eight games as a reserve. She averaged 1.1 points and 0.5 rebounds per contest. She netted a season-high five points against Team Cloud in the season finale, making 2-of-3 field goal attempts. She also collected a career-high 392 leaderboard points. She grabbed a season-high two rebounds against Team Gray on March 16.
2023 Season: For the 2023 season, Harris secured 2,414 leaderboard points during her second Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball season. She registered a season-high 329 points in the season opener against Team Sims on February 23. She was one of nine players to wear all four jersey colors during the season. She averaged 1.8 points and 0.7 rebounds per contest. She scored a season-high seven points on 3-of-6 shooting from the field against Team Smith to open Week Three. She started the season with five points and three rebounds off the bench against Team Sims. She netted four points with two rebounds against Team Sims on March 10.
2022 Season: In the inaugural 2022 season, she closed in 22nd place on the leaderboard. She tallied 3,152 points, including a season-high 358 points against Team Sims in Week One. She appeared in all 15 games, including four starts. She averaged 8.7 points and 2.5 rebounds per game with seven double-digit scoring performances. She reached double figures in scoring five consecutive games from January 28 to February 5, averaging 12.6 points during the five-game streak, which included a season-high 17 points against Team Sims on January 28. She closed Week One with a season-high eight rebounds in addition to 13 points against Team Russell. She shot 4-for-7 from the field, including a 3-of-4 effort from three-point range. She scored 13 points against Team Hawkins to begin Week Four. She converted 4-of-8 field goal attempts, including a 3-for-6 performance from long range. She finished Week Two with back-to-back 10-point games against Team Brown and Team Harrison.
Other Professional Experience: Rebecca Harris spent 14 seasons playing overseas in Euroleague, Czech Republic, Greece, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine, and Colombia. She was a three-time International All-Star Team pick. She spent time with Bay Area Phoenix of the Women’s Premier Basketball Association. She guided Phoenix to a second-place finish in the 2024 FIBA Women’s Basketball League Americas Tournament, averaging 19.4 points per game. She played four seasons for St. Louis Surge of the Global Women’s Basketball Association. She helped the Surge win two Global Women’s Basketball Association championships and also guided the Flint Monarchs to the 2022 GWBA title.
At Illinois: Harris played two seasons at Illinois after transferring from Rend Lake College. She became the first junior college player to transfer to Illinois since Yolanda Smith in 2000. She appeared in 65 games with the Fighting Illini with 26 starts and was sixth in Illinois history with a .793 career free throw percentage. As a senior, she ranked second on the team with a 10.1 scoring average and received Big Ten All-Tournament Team honors in 2007-08. She earned Honorable Mention NJCAA All-America honors in 2005-06 after averaging 23.6 points and 5.6 assists per game. She led the Warriors to a 38-25 record in two seasons.
