Kiah Stokes
Biography
Personal: Kiah Stokes is the daughter of Greg Stokes and Julie Saddler. She majored in psychology at UConn. She was honored as the 2010 Gatorade Iowa Player of the Year.
Other Professional Experience: Kiah Stokes is a ten-year WNBA veteran who has appeared in 321 career games with 125 starts. She owns a 3.3 career scoring average while grabbing 5.4 rebounds per contest. She was the No. 11 overall selection in the 2015 WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty. She is a three-time WNBA champion with the Las Vegas Aces. She helped Las Vegas win the 2022 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup. She was a member of the 2015 WNBA All-Rookie Team. She saw action in 156 games over six seasons with New York from 2015 to 2021, averaging 5.0 points and 6.1 rebounds with the Liberty. She was a member of the 2015 WNBA All-Defensive Second Team and finished as runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year, Sixth Player of the Year, and Rookie of the Year awards. Since being acquired during the 2021 season, she has seen action in 165 career games with Las Vegas. She was a starter in 81 contests while contributing 1.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per outing. She started 18 of 40 games during the 2025 season while helping Las Vegas win their third WNBA title in four years. She made a career-high 29 starts in 2024 for Las Vegas. She has also enjoyed success playing overseas in Turkey. She won four Turkish League titles from 2019 to 2023 along with a pair of Turkey Cup championships. She also owns two EuroLeague championships in 2023 and 2024.
International Experience: Kiah Stokes led Team USA to a Gold medal at the 2009 FIBA Americas U-16 Championship in Mexico City. She averaged 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds while helping the United States post a perfect 5-0 record. She was also named to the 2010 United States Women’s Youth Olympic Games Team.
At UConn: Kiah Stokes was a four-year letter winner at UConn who appeared in 146 career games from 2011 to 2015. She scored 602 career points with 819 rebounds. She led the Huskies to three consecutive NCAA Division I titles from 2013 to 2015. She was a two-time All-American Athletic Conference performer who claimed the 2014-15 Defensive Player of the Year notice. She ranks fourth on the Huskies’ career ledger with 325 blocked shots. She stands as UConn’s single-season leader with 147 blocked shots during the 2014-15 campaign. She is one of five players in UConn history to author a triple-double after recording 10 points with 11 rebounds and a school-record 10 blocked shots against East Carolina on January 28, 2015. She appeared in all 39 games as a senior with four starts. She averaged 6.8 rebounds per game, including a career-high 18 caroms against Notre Dame on December 6, 2014. She saw action in 39 games during her junior season and ranked third on the squad with 7.1 rebounds per outing.
