Biography
Personal: Natália Zilio Pereira is the daughter of Lucimar Zilio Pereira and Luiz Carlos Pereira. She notes former coaches Bernardo Rezende and Zé Roberto as people who made a difference in her life. Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, reading, watching television, and trying new restaurants. Natália Zilio Pereira also enjoys cooking, reading, and visiting new restaurants. She looks forward to playing volleyball in the United States for the first time. Natália Zilio Pereira has worn No. 12 since competing for her youth national team in Brazil.
Other Professional Experience: Natália Zilio Pereira has played competitively since 1999, including a five-year stint with Voleibol Joacaba U18 from 1999-2005. She spent 11 years playing in Brazil before joining Fenerbahce Grundig in Turkey from 2016-18. Natália Zilio Pereira returned to Brazil with Itambe/Minas in 2018 and competed in Turkey with Eczacibasi VitrA in 2019. She played two seasons with Dinamo Moscow in Russia. Natália Zilio Pereira spent one season with Savino Del Bene Scandicci in Italy. She joined KYK World All-Stars in South Korea in 2023. Natália Zilio Pereira returned to Brazil with Osasco/Sao Cristovao Saude for the 2024-25 campaign. She joined Tianjin Bohai Bank in China prior to the 2025-26 season. Natália Zilio Pereira has won 18 combined league championships during her long professional career.
International Experience: Natália Zilio Pereira was a member of the Brazilian National Team from 2005-21. She led Brazil to a Gold medal at the 2012 London Olympic Games. Natália Zilio Pereira also guided Brazil to a Silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She earned a Silver medal at the 2010 World Championships along with a Bronze medal at the 2014 World Championships. Natália Zilio Pereira piloted Brazil to a Gold medal at the World Grand Prix six times and added three Silver medal efforts. She secured a Gold medal at the 2009 and 2011 Pan-American Cup along with Silver medals in 2007 and 2008. Natália Zilio Pereira led Brazil to five South American Championship Gold medals. She was honored as the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix MVP after helping Brazil win the Gold medal.
