Kimberly Veale
Senior Vice President Marketing & Communications, Golden State Valkyries
Kimberly Veale is entering her seventh season with Golden State, first with the Golden State Valkyries as Senior Vice President, Marketing & Communications. In her current role, she oversees marketing, social media, content, merchandise, public relations, broadcast and community relations efforts. She reports directly to WNBA Golden State President, Jess Smith.
Veale served as the Warriors’ Vice President, Corporate Communications prior to transitioning to her role with the franchise’s WNBA team. In that capacity, she oversaw all aspects of the company’s business communications efforts for the Warriors, Chase Center, Thrive City, Golden State Entertainment, Golden State Ventures and the organization’s esports brands.
Veale joined the Warriors in 2018 from the WNBA’s Seattle Storm, where she spent six seasons overseeing the team’s public relations and player relations departments. Her tenure with Seattle included hosting the 2017 WNBA All-Star Game and a 2018 WNBA Championship title run. Prior to the Storm, she spent time with the Chicago Sky (WNBA), San Jose Earthquakes (MLS) and Santa Cruz Warriors (NBA G League).
Veale serves as the executive sponsor for the company’s Pride Alliance employee resource group, and spent several seasons on the company’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council. Outside of the Warriors, she is a Board Member for Girls Inc. of Alameda County. A native of the Bay Area, she earned a B.A. in Communications from DePaul University
