Diane Gotua

Senior Vice President, Global Head of Strategy, Fanatics

Diane Gotua has two decades of leadership experience in strategy, operations, and corporate development within sports and finance. She holds a unique global perspective having executed growth initiatives in collaboration with partners and investors across more than 20 countries. 

 

In her current role as SVP, Global Head of Strategy at Fanatics, Diane has led Fanatics’ enterprise data strategy, spearheading the development of tools to capture a unified view of the fan across the company’s various offerings. In partnership with Fanatics Collectibles leadership, she played a pivotal role in the creation of the “Fanatics Live” app, a live commerce platform, and led the initial development of the company’s enterprise loyalty strategy.  

 

Prior to Fanatics, Diane held various leadership roles at the National Basketball Association. Her efforts to grow the league’s international business through strategic partnerships have resulted in the formation of NBA Africa and the establishment of the Basketball Africa League, the NBA’s first pro league outside North America. Diane also oversaw the league’s partnership with USA Basketball and served as Managing Director for NBA India prior to the league’s first ever games in Mumbai.  

 

Early in her career, Diane held roles at Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers investment banking divisions. She started her career as an analyst and research assistant at the International Monetary Fund and World Bank in Washington, D.C.  Holding a deep passion for diversity, inclusion, and uplifting communities through the power of sports and media, Diane has served on a variety of nonprofit boards and currently sits on the advisory councils of Moët Hennessy IDE and SDA Bocconi’s School of Management. An adjunct professor at NYU’s Tisch Institute for Global Sport, Diane received her MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and undergraduate degree in Management Economics from Ateneo de Manila University. She resides in New York with her husband Dwayne and their three children.
