Ana Gold is a 5-foot-7 professional softball infielder from Ballston Spa, New York. She was acquired in the 3rd Round of the 2025 College Draft following a collegiate career at Duke.

Personal Life

Family: Daughter of Eric and Julie Gold. Brother, Luke, played baseball at Boston College and was drafted by Detroit in 2022.

Background: Threw the ceremonial first pitch before the New York Yankees’ game against the Texas Rangers on May 6, 2026. Says Sierra and Sydney Romero are her idols.

Professional Experience

Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball & AUSL (2025)

2025 AUSL All-Star Cup: Closed the season in 15th place with 926 total points and secured a pair of Defensive MVP commendations. Led the league by being hit by a pitch seven times.

2025 AUSL Regular Season: AUSL Rookie of the Year and member of the AUSL All-Defensive Team. Led all rookies and ranked seventh overall with a .373 batting average. Tied for fourth with five home runs and ranked second with two triples. Became the first player in Blaze history to hit multiple home runs in a game on July 22.

International Experience (2025–2026)

Team USA: Member of the 2026 United States Women’s National Team pool. Competed in four games during the Down Under Series in December 2025.

College Experience: Duke (2022–2025)

Career Statistics: Started 230-of-232 games, finishing her career with a .306 batting average, a school-record 54 home runs, and 199 RBIs.

Senior Year (2025): Posted a career-high .333 batting average with 16 home runs and 63 RBIs.

Junior Year (2024): Led Duke to a Women’s College World Series appearance, hitting .269 with nine home runs and 44 RBIs. First player in Duke history to hit two grand slams in the same game.

Sophomore Year (2023): Fashioned a .313 batting average and slugged a school-record 19 home runs with a program-record 56 RBIs.

Freshman Year (2022): Collected a .311 batting average and set a Duke freshman record with 10 home runs.

Awards & Honors

Professional: 2025 AUSL Rookie of the Year and All-Defensive Team.

All-Region: Second-Team NFCA All-East Region as a senior and Third-Team as a sophomore.

Conference Honors: First-Team All-ACC (2023) and Third-Team All-ACC (2022, 2025).
