Week 1 Captains Announced for AU Pro Basketball Season 4
Tip-off for Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball Season 4 in Nashville, Tennessee is just under a week away.
The Week One captains were randomly selected from the pool of returning players who opted into the lottery – a new selection process enacted in collaboration with the Basketball Player Executive Committee to increase the opportunity for players to serve as captains. These players have experience in the AU system and understand what it takes to be a leader on the court.
Isabelle Harrison (Gold), Evina Westbrook (Orange), Kierstan Bell (Blue), and Sydney Colson (Purple) were randomly selected to be the Week One captains.
The Week One draft will be held on Monday, Feb. 3 at 12 p.m. ET. Teams will be announced after the draft concludes on auprobasketball.com and the AU Pro Basketball social channels (Instagram | X).
Meet the Captains
Isabelle Harrison (Gold)
Harrison finished the 2024 AU Pro Basketball season in 25th place on the leaderboard with 3,194 points. She is one of two players to record 800 or more leaderboard points in a single contest, joining Odyssey Sims. She appeared in nine games with two starts, averaging 12.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest. She became the first player in league history with multiple 40-point games during their career when she scored a career-high 41 points during the Week Three opener.
Evina Westbrook (Orange)
Westbrook returns to the court with AU Pro Basketball after missing the 2024 season due to injury. She debuted with the league in 2023 and accumulated 4,143 leaderboard points to finish in 17th place. She started in all 15 games, averaging 8.6 points and 4.1 rebounds. She tied for fifth in the league with 12 blocked shots.
Kierstan Bell (Blue)
Bell finished the 2024 season as the third-place medalist with 5,689 leaderboard points. She ranked second with 480 MVP Points from eight Game MVP awards and third with 3,180 Win Points. She posted a 9-3 record, including a perfect 3-0 mark as a captain during Week Four. A starter in all 12 games, Bell averaged 20.1 points and 5.8 rebounds per outing. She tied for the league lead with 35 made three-pointers. She also tallied 37 assists with 14 steals and 10 blocked shots.
Sydney Colson (Purple)
Colson posted the best finish of her AU Pro Basketball career in 2024, accumulating 4,219 leaderboard points to earn 11th place. She was one of five players named to the All-Defensive Team. She appeared in 11 games and averaged 8.5 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. She ranked third in the league with 67 assists and led with a .514 three-point field goal percentage, draining 18 treys on 35 attempts.
Captain Selection Process
Under the new captain selection process, captains will be named under the following guidelines for Weeks Two through Four.
- Weeks Two and Three: Captains will be determined by the top four point-earners on the weekly leaderboard. Previously, the cumulative leaderboard determined the captains for these weeks.
- Champions Week (Week Four): Captains will be the top four point-earners from the season leaderboard.
