Meet the 2023 AUX Softball Series 2 Teams

Aubrey Leach, Nadia Taylor, and Andrea Filler each step into a captain’s chair for the first time in their AU careers.

Leach, who tallied 494 points, went 8-for-14 at the plate with four doubles and a home run to open the season. She added three walks. Despite earning only 200 win points, she raked in stat points with 174 — six points behind league-leader Rachel Garcia. Leach also led all players with 120 MVP points after being named MVP 1 twice.

Taylor (470 points) was a member of Team Zerkle in Series 1 alongside Filler. In addition to capturing the 300 win points, Taylor had five hits, including two home runs. She also earned 60 points from being named MVP 1.

Rounding out the captains for Series 2 is Filler who also grabbed 470 points, including 300 win points in Series 1. Taylor takes the No. 2 captain spot with more MVP points. Through four games, she has two home runs and a triple. Plus, she picked up 40 additional points for earning MVP 2 honors.
