Jude Schimmel signs with AU Pro Basketball for 2025 Season

Schimmel is a standout from the University of Louisville. She played four seasons for the Cardinals, helping the team to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances and the 2013 National Championship. She started all 34 games in her senior year, averaging 7.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.2 steals.

After graduating, Schimmel went undrafted but was signed to a training camp contract by the Dallas Wings. She played for Cadi La Seu in Spain’s Liga Feminina for the 2017-18 season overseas, averaging 5.5 points, 1.5 assists, and 1.5 rebounds.

Schimmel grew up on the Umatilla Indian Reservation in Oregon and advocates for indigenous communities.
