Joey Lye: Master your unstoppable mindset
Joey Lye is a 2021 Olympic medalist with Team Canada Softball and the founder of Joey Lye Oly LLC.
Since joining the national team in 2010, Lye competed in five WBSC Women’s Softball World Championships for Canada and was a part of the team that took home silver at the 2011 and 2019 Pan American Games and gold in 2015.
A dual-sport collegiate athlete, she was a four-year letter winner in both softball and ice hockey at Williams College. She went on to earn her Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine.
Lye started playing softball at age seven but almost quit the sport when she was 12 but a coach convinced her to give it “one more year.”
Her talk focused on mental awareness. Lye challenges the audience to practice noticing their thoughts, create routines, use anxiety as a tool and choose a mindset.
