AU Pro Basketball is part of Athletes Unlimited, which was named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies in 2023 and features an Advisory Board comprised of an illustrious group of high-profile contributors from the worlds of sports, business and entertainment including basketball legend Sheryl Swoopes, two-time NBA champion and entrepreneur Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman of 35 Ventures; U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team superstar Abby Wambach, and among many others.

Like its other leagues, AU Pro Basketball features a range of scoring innovations to bring athletes and fans a unique and intense version of the sport. Individual athletes earn points based on both team wins and individual performance and become the champions in team sports. Points are earned on every play and the leaderboard will change constantly. In addition, teams change each week, with the top four athletes in the standings serving as captains and drafting their teams. At the end of the four-week season, the player with the most points is crowned as individual champion.

Partners for the 2024 AU Pro Basketball season include Air Force, Air National Guard, Baden, EY, Gatorade, Ice Cream Social, Madam Paleta, Nike, SuperQuickQuestion and syd.

“We are thrilled to tip off season three of Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball with such an exciting roster featuring elite talent from across the women’s basketball landscape, and to be back in Dallas, a hotbed of basketball talent and culture,” said Megan Perry, Director of Basketball for Athletes Unlimited. “Fans will be treated to an exciting brand of basketball as these athletes compete to be crowned the champion.”

“I’m super excited to be part of season three. Taking on the role of chairperson of the Player Executive Committee has been a really fun experience for me so far and will continue to prepare me for my future goals in front office work,” said Brown, who chairs the AU Pro Basketball Player Executive Committee. “AU Pro Basketball will be the first time I’ve been on the court since July and I can’t wait to compete with and against the amazing players we have on the roster. I can’t say enough how grateful I am to have an opportunity to play in the off-season domestically.”

“As the newest member of the AU family, I am beyond excited to start this journey. Basketball has always been a passion that drives me. My focus is clear: I just want to hoop again, to be on the court where I feel most alive. I can’t wait to show the world what I got,” McCoughtry said.

“The Dallas Wings welcome Athletes Unlimited back to North Texas for a second season of women’s professional basketball at Fair Park,” Dallas Wings President & CEO Greg Bibb stated. “We are excited to support our Wings players who will be participating and look forward to watching the competition as it takes place in early 2024.”
