Biography
Personal: Bell is the daughter of Perry Bell and Amanda Hubbs and has one sibling. She is the first player in Ohio high school basketball to earn Ms. Basketball recognition three times. She finished her scholastic career as the fourth-leading scorer in Ohio history with 2,833 points, surpassing Katie Smith and Semeka Randall. Bell was named the 2019 Ohio Gatorade Player of the Year after averaging 27.0 points, 7.9 rebounds, 4.4 blocks, and 3.8 steals per game as a senior at Canton McKinley High School.
2025 Season: Bell concluded her third Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball season with 2,974 leaderboard points, including 2,160 win points and 754 stat points. She served as a team captain with a 1-2 record and earned a starting spot in nine of her 12 games. She averaged 10.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, in addition to contributing 24 assists and 10 steals. Bell tied for fifth in the league with 21 made three-point field goals, and she scored in double figures in eight of her 12 contests, including five straight games from February 14-23. She received a pair of Game MVP commendations, first claiming MVP 3 status against Team Bradford on February 14 after scoring 17 points, which included a 5-for-11 effort from three-point range. She also received MVP 3 plaudits on February 20 against Team Harrison. Her season-high of 18 points came on 8-for-16 shooting from the field, including a 2-for-8 effort from beyond the arc, along with six rebounds, to finish with 387 leaderboard points. Bell collected a season-high 604 leaderboard points on February 7 against Team Harrison, scoring 15 points with eight rebounds while playing all 40 minutes. She accumulated 438 leaderboard points against Team Caldwell in the Week Three opener.
2024 Season: Bell accumulated 5,689 leaderboard points to earn third place in the league standings during her second Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball campaign. She was second in the league with eight Game MVP awards and 480 MVP points. She ended the season by receiving Game MVP recognition in seven of the final eight games, including the last five in a row. Bell also ranked third in the circuit with 3,180 win points. She was one of seven players in the league with 2,000 or more stat points (2,029) and one of three players to register a 9-3 record, including a perfect 3-0 mark as a captain during Week Four. She posted five games with 500 or more leaderboard points, good for third in the league, and was second in the circuit with four games of 600 or more points. As a starter in all 12 games, she was fifth in the league in scoring with a 20.1 average while grabbing 5.8 rebounds per outing. She tied for the league lead with 35 made three-pointers and attempted a league-high 92 three-pointers. She also tallied 37 assists with 14 steals and 10 blocked shots. Bell was fourth in the league with 61 defensive rebounds and reached double figures in scoring in the final 11 games after being held to just nine points against Team Mitchell in the season opener. She was third in the league with nine 20-point performances, including a pair of 30-point outputs. Bell finished the season with eight consecutive games of 20 or more points, including a pair of 26-point efforts to set her season-high. She ended Week Three with back-to-back MVP 1 selections. She scored 24 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field while adding eight rebounds against Team Cloud on March 16. Bell contributed 26 points in the Week Three finale against Team Mitchell, making 10-of-20 shots from the floor, including a 3-for-4 effort from beyond the arc. She also grabbed seven rebounds with four assists to secure a career-high 698 leaderboard points. She received Game MVP accolades in all three games during the final week of the season. Bell poured in 20 points, including a 6-for-13 showing from three-point range, with five rebounds and 659 leaderboard points in an MVP 1 performance against Team Sims on March 22. She notched an MVP 2 commendation in the season finale against Team Cloud after tallying 21 points, including five three-pointers, with a season-high six assists. She opened Week Four with 20 points and an MVP 3 award against Team Gray.
2023 Season: Bell completed her first Athletes Unlimited season in 10th place on the final league leaderboard with 4,950 points. She also ranked 10th with 2,000 stat points, while her 300 MVP points were good for a share of eighth place. She authored eight games with 300 or more leaderboard points, including three outings of 500 or more points. Bell opened Week Three with a season-high 605 points against Team Mitchell and garnered Game MVP honors four times, including a pair of MVP 3 distinctions. She posted a 1-2 record as a captain in Week Four. As a starter in all 15 games, she ranked seventh in the league with a 15.9 scoring average. She was second in the league with 94 three-point field goal attempts and was one of three players in the league to make 30 or more triples during the season. Bell was sixth on the league’s total rebounds list (94) while her 79 defensive caroms were good for fifth place. She fashioned three consecutive double-double performances from March 4-10. She closed the campaign with a season-high 25 points on 9-of-21 shooting from the field and a perfect 5-of-5 free throw effort against Team Smith. She closed Week Three with 24 points against Team Smith to cap a string of six consecutive double-digit scoring performances. Bell also contributed 20 points in the Week Three opener against Team Mitchell. She tallied 21 points in her Athletes Unlimited debut against Team Williams. She narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and a season-high 10 assists against Team Hillmon to complete Week Four.
Other Professional Experience: Bell is a four-year WNBA veteran who was selected with the No. 11 overall pick by the Las Vegas Aces in the 2022 WNBA Draft. She has played in 98 career games with 17 starts, owning career averages of 3.3 points and 1.5 rebounds per contest. As a rookie, she appeared in 21 games while helping the Aces win the WNBA championship, averaging 1.3 points and 0.9 rebounds per contest. She scored a season-high 12 points on 4-for-6 shooting from the field against Los Angeles on May 23, 2022, and played a season-best 16 minutes against Los Angeles on June 27, 2022. She appeared in 36 games off the bench while helping Las Vegas claim a second consecutive WNBA crown in 2023, scoring 3.7 points per outing while shooting 34.6 percent from the field. Bell saw action in six games with Las Vegas during the 2024 season, averaging 2.8 points and 1.0 rebounds per game. She helped the Aces secure a third WNBA title in four years by contributing 4.2 points and 1.8 rebounds per game over 35 appearances. She also spent the 2022-23 campaign with Adelaide of the Australian Basketball League, averaging 14.1 points per game over nine fixtures. She tallied eight double-digit scoring efforts, including a pair of 20-point performances, and netted a season-high 23 points with 14 rebounds against Southside on December 3, 2022.
At Florida Gulf Coast: Bell played two seasons at Florida Gulf Coast after transferring from Ohio State following her freshman campaign. She earned a starting assignment in 60 of her 80 career games and tallied 1,505 career points with 583 rebounds while shooting 47.3 percent from the field. She started all 50 games during her two-year career at Florida Gulf Coast and finished with 1,179 points with the Eagles on 49.9 percent shooting from the field. Bell ranks ninth on Florida Gulf Coast’s career scoring list and holds FGCU’s career record with a 23.6 scoring average. She is one of three players in program history with 100 or more career blocked shots (103) and owns the school record with 24 career double-double games. She was a two-time Honorable Mention All-America pick by the Associated Press and the United States Basketball Writers Association. Bell also earned Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Year accolades in both seasons at Florida Gulf Coast and was the recipient of the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year award as a sophomore and junior. She was a unanimous pick as the 2020-21 ASUN Newcomer of the Year after earning a league-record 10 Newcomer of the Week commendations. She set FGCU single-season records for points (632), scoring average (24.8), field goals made (248), and defensive rebounds per game (9.1) as a sophomore.
As a junior, Bell led Florida Gulf Coast to a 30-3 record and the ASUN Championship title. She led the ASUN Conference with a 22.8 point-per-game average and posted five games with 30 or more points during her junior campaign, including a season-high 39 points against Tennessee Tech. She holds the school and ASUN Conference record with 12 career Player of the Week awards.
At Ohio State: As a freshman at Ohio State, she averaged 10.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.2 steals per game while earning an Honorable Mention nod on the All-Big Ten Conference Team. She was also a three-time selection as Big Ten Freshman of the Year during the 2019-20 campaign.
