Biography
Personal: Dorie Harrison is the daughter of Ida and Dennis Harrison and works as a makeup artist. She is one of 12 children in her family. Her sister, Isabelle, played college basketball at Tennessee and is entering her third year with Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball. Her brother, David, played college basketball at Colorado before being drafted by the Indiana Pacers in the 2004 NBA Draft and enjoying a 10-year professional career in Switzerland, France, Spain, Finland, and Israel. Her brother Isaiah played basketball at Freed Hardeman before pursuing a professional career overseas in Australia and Spain. Her sister Deedee played volleyball at Tennessee, her sister Della played softball at Chattanooga, and her sister Dianne was a member of the track and field team at LSU.
2024 Season: During her first Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball season, Dorie Harrison accumulated 2,369 leaderboard points. She saw action in 11 games as a reserve and averaged 2.0 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. On March 2nd, she tallied a season-high eight points against Team Gray, converting 4-of-7 field goal attempts. In that same game, she also grabbed a season-high eight rebounds. She matched her season-high with eight points on a perfect 4-for-4 shooting performance from the field against Team Gray on March 22nd. Harrison opened Week Four by collecting five rebounds with two points against Team Sims and ended Week One with a season-high 379 leaderboard points against Team Hull on March 3rd.
Other Professional Experience: In 2024, Harrison earned Chilean LNF Most Valuable Player honors while playing with Sportiva Italiana Valparaiso. She averaged 20.8 points per game over four appearances, with a pair of 20-point performances. She also grabbed 15.8 rebounds per contest. On December 14, 2024, she tallied 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the field and a 5-of-9 effort from the free-throw line against Los Leones. She also grabbed 14 rebounds in the 72-61 victory. On December 12, 2024, she netted 24 points with 14 rebounds against Los Leones in a 75-73 triumph.
At Lipscomb: Harrison was a three-year letter winner at Lipscomb after transferring from Kentucky after the 2018-19 season. She completed her college career with 563 points and 377 rebounds over 71 games. She also notched 59 blocked shots with Lipscomb and Kentucky. At Lipscomb, she appeared in 39 games over three seasons, with 26 starts, and averaged 8.9 points and 6.5 rebounds. She earned a starting assignment in 13 of 15 games as a redshirt senior and ranked third on the team in scoring with a 7.8 average, while making 45-of-108 three-point field goals. She also ranked fourth on the squad with 15 blocked shots. During her redshirt junior campaign, she saw action in 18 games, including eight starts, and led the Bison and ranked fourth in the Atlantic Sun Conference with 7.3 rebounds per game during the 2020-21 season. She was a member of the 2021 Atlantic Sun Championship All-Tournament Team. During her first season at Lipscomb, she played in six outings with five starts before missing the remainder of the year with an injury. As a freshman at Kentucky in 2017-18, she appeared in all 32 games, with eight starts, and averaged 6.7 points and 3.8 rebounds per contest. She notched eight double-digit scoring performances with the Wildcats, including a pair of 16-point outputs.
