Masera, meanwhile, claimed MVP 3 distinction with 146 leaderboard points after notching the first hat trick of her professional career while adding a draw control and a caused turnover.
Rookie attacker Isabella Peterson contributed three goals with an assist in the victory, while fellow newcomer Sydni Black added a goal with two assists.
Team Bosco was paced by midfielder Marie McCool, who earned MVP 1 accolades after scoring two goals, including a two-pointer, with an assist while gathering five draw controls and three ground balls. Attacker Sam Geiersbach chipped in a pair of markers to go with a goal and an assist from rookie attacker Izzy Scane.
Goalkeeper Britt Read tallied eight saves and four caused turnovers in the loss for Team Bosco, which was held to just two goals in the second half.
KEY MOMENT
Team Moreno surged to a 4-1 lead in the opening eight minutes of the game with a goal from four different players. Team Bosco battled back to even the score at 5-all on a goal by Scane, but a four-goal outburst from Team Moreno secured a 9-5 advantage the squad did not relinquish.
LEADERBOARD IMPACT
Moreno’s 180 leaderboard points vaulted her into third place in the league standings after the opening night of the season, while defender Kendall Halpern follows in sixth place after gathering a game-high four caused turnovers with a ground ball in her professional debut.
