Meet the 2023 Lacrosse Week 3 Teams

Taylor Moreno and Sam Apuzo remain at the top of the leaderboard, while Kady Glynn and Abby Bosco take a seat in the captain’s chair for the first time this season. Dating back to last season, Moreno and Apuzzo enter their seventh and sixth consecutive weeks in a captain’s spot, respectively.

Moreno (1,047 points) has continued her success in goal, posting 72 saves and a .67 save percentage. She broke the single-game saves record in Sunday’s Week Two finale with 17 saves. The record was previously held by goalkeeper Britt Read, who had 16. 

Apuzzo (891 points) leads the league with 15 goals and 9 assists. She led her Week Two team to a 3-0 week, capped by a victory against Team Moreno. Apuzzo has won four of the last five games against Moreno.

Glynn (736 points), who will captain the Blue team in Week Three, ranks second in save percentage .46 and third in saves (46). 

Rounding out the Top 4 on the leaderboard is Bosco (699 points), who leads the league with 28 draw controls. The rookie defender has added nine caused turnovers and 12 ground balls. It is the first time she’ll serve as a captain in her Athletes Unlimited career.
