Connecticut Sun's Ty Harris Signs with AU Pro Basketball for Season 4
Connecticut Sun guard Ty Harris has signed with Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball for the 2025 season in Nashville, Tennessee.
Harris has played for the Connecticut Sun since 2023, appearing in 79 games. She posted her best WNBA season in 2024, averaging a career-high 10.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. She eclipsed 1,000 career points on Aug. 28 against the Indiana Fever.
She was selected No. 7 overall at the 2020 WNBA Draft by the Dallas Wings and spent three seasons with the team before being traded to the Connecticut Sun in January 2023 in a three-team deal. She signed a two-year extension with the Sun through the 2025 season. In her WNBA career, Harris has appeared in 167 games, averaging 19.6 minutes, 6.6 points, 1.3 rebounds, 2.6 steals, and 0.7 steals per game.
Harris sealed her name in the University of South Carolina record books as a Gamecock from 2016 to 2020. She is the first player in program history to record 700 assists. She ranks first in single-season assists (220 in 2017-18) and minutes played (1,208 in 2017-18). She led the Gamecocks to the 2017 NCAA title, three SEC Tournament titles (2017, 2018, 2020), and two SEC Regular-Season Championships (2017, 2020). The three-time All-SEC selection was named the 2019-20 Roy F. Kramer SEC Female Athlete of the Year in her senior season.
