Christyn Williams signs with AU Pro Basketball for 2025 season
Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball has signed guard Christyn Williams to compete in the 2025 season in Nashville, Tennessee.
Williams was drafted with the 14th overall pick by the Washington Mystics in the 2022 WNBA Draft but suffered a season-ending injury. She signed a hardship contract with the Phoenix Mercury in September 2023 but did not appear in a game.
She graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2022. She was named the 2022 Ann Meyers Drysdale National Shooting Guard of the Year after posting her best season as a senior. She ranks 15th in UConn’s all-time scoring list with 1,850 points. Williams led the team to its first national championship game appearance since 2016. She was named two-time All-BIG EAST First Team, 2020 American Athletic Conference First Team, and 2019 American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year.
Williams competed with Team USA at the 2019 Pan American games in 3×3, helping the team win gold. She has also competed for the 3×3 team in the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series in China, Italy, Russia, and France. She was the youngest member of the 2017 U19 team and won a silver medal at the FIBA U19 World Cup.
The fourth season of AU Pro Basketball will run from February 5 to March 2, 2025, at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium. Tickets are on sale now.
