Athletes Unlimited announced today that three rookie softball free agents have been added to its AUX and Championship Season rosters. 

Former UCLA pitcher Brooke Yanez will compete in both AUX and Championship Seasons this summer while Florida’s Elizabeth Hightower will participate in AUX. In addition, Clemson outfielder Caroline Jacobsen will join the AU roster for the 2023 Athletes Unlimited Softball Championship Season. 

Brooke Yanez | Pitcher | UCLA 

Yanez, who joins college teammate Megan Faraimo on the AU rosters, posted a 16-3 record with a save and nine complete games in her lone season at UCLA. The Ventura, Calif., native, who also spent two years at Oregon and two years at UC Davis, registered a 1.67 career earned run average with 940 strikeouts in 146 career appearances. 

Elizabeth Hightower | Pitcher | Florida 

Hightower is a five-year letter winner at Florida who made 136 appearances in the circle from 2019-23, including 100 starts. She compiled a 57-29 record with a 2.46 earned run average and fashioned 427 strikeouts over 561.0 innings with the Gators. 

Caroline Jacobsen | Outfielder | Clemson 

Jacobsen compiled a .298 career batting average while starting 238-of-252 games during her time at Duke and Clemson. After a stellar four-year career at Duke, the Tallahassee, Fla., product claimed Third-Team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors in her lone season at Clemson after batting .309 with 12 home runs and 50 runs batted in. 

Both seasons of Athletes Unlimited Softball will be held at Parkway Bank Sports Complex in Rosemont, Ill. The second season of AUX will take place June 12 – 27 while the fourth Championship Season is slated for July 28 – Aug. 27. Tickets for both seasons can be purchased online at auprosports.com/tickets
