The Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF) kicked off its second season with a bang, and Brooke Nuneviller stole the show.

Leading the charge for the Omaha Supernovas, Nuneviller and her team set the tone for the season, finishing Week 1 at the top of the standings with two wins. With four Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball players on the roster and Nuneviller at the forefront, the Supernovas started hot in proving why they are the defending champions. Known for her grit and versatility, Nuneviller is making it clear she’s on a mission to defend their title.

Nebraska is a volleyball powerhouse, known for its passionate fan base and undeniable talent. The collegiate fans show out for the pros too, helping Omaha reset their own United States Pro Volleyball attendance record at the home opener with 13,486 fans. While Nuneviller may not be a Nebraska native—having played her collegiate career at Oregon — she’s quickly earned her place as a fan favorite in the Cornhusker State. Her outstanding performances for the Omaha Supernovas have solidified her reputation as one of the league’s premier athletes.

Nuneviller began her 2025 campaign with a statement performance. In the season opener against the Atlanta Vibe, she recorded a team-high 22 kills, surpassing her previous PVF career-best of 20. She followed up this dominant outing with another stellar performance in a rematch of the 2024 PVF Championship against the Grand Rapids Rise. Nuneviller led her team to victory once again, posting a team-leading 36% perfect reception rate and adding 15 kills.

Through just one week of play, Nuneviller has proven why she earned a spot on the PVF Preseason All-League team. She currently leads the league in points, ranks second in kills, and holds fourth in digs. Her ability to deliver on both offense and defense makes her an irreplaceable leader for the defending champions. With Nuneviller as a go-to, the Supernovas are in a great position to make another run for the title.

Next up, Omaha is scheduled to travel to the Vegas Thrill on Friday, January 17. Fans can catch all the action live on the PVF’s YouTube channel.
