AU Pro Volleyball Season 4 Draft Results: Meet the Week 2 Teams

Outside hitter and 2022 Athletes Unlimited Pro Volleyball champion Bethania De La Cruz-Mejía led the Purple team to a 3-0 record in Week One and claimed 1,066 points to earn her 12th stint as a team captain. The Dominican Republic native will guide the Gold team for the sixth time in her AU Pro Volleyball career in the 2024 season’s second segment.

Guiding the Orange team in Week Two is league newcomer opposite Brittany Abercrombie. The USC product put down 46 kills in the first portion of play and ranks second on the leaderboard with 1,050 points. Abercrombie leads the circuit with 140 MVP points through the league’s first week.

Also making her debut as a team captain is middle blocker Kayla Caffey who will lead the Blue team. The former Texas standout tied an AU Pro Volleyball single-week record with 12 solo blocks and claimed a pair of Match MVP laurels to finish the opening segment of the campaign with 795 points

Rounding out the Week Two captains, setter Nootsara Tomkom holds onto fourth place with 713 leaderboard points and will pilot the Purple team. Tomkom leads the circuit with 106 assists through her first three matches of the 2024 season. She returns to the captain’s chair for the second time in her AU Pro Volleyball career after leading the Blue side in the first week of the 2023 season.
