AU Pro Softball signs Sam Fischer to 2-year deal

Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball has signed corner infielder Sam Fischer to a two-year contract with the league. Fischer will compete in the 2024 and 2025 Championship seasons in Rosemont, Illinois, as well as the upcoming AUX competition that will take place in Wichita, Kansas from June 10 to 24.

Fischer has been with the league since its inception and is a member of the AU Softball Player Executive Committee; she served as its chairperson in 2023.

She has finished in the top 13 athletes in four of her six seasons with the league; her highest ranking was in 2022 at seventh overall on the final leaderboard. Most recently, she recorded a 12th-place finish in 2023 with a .273 batting average and .500 slugging percentage. Fischer was one of just six players in the league to hit a triple last season. She has a career average of .294 and has appeared in 80 games with AU Pro Softball. Her fielding percentage on the hot corner is a near-perfect .937.

The fifth season of AU Pro Softball takes AUX on the road to Wichita, Kansas from June 10 to June 24, then to Parkway Bank Sports Complex in Rosemont, Illinois later in the summer.
