Captains Maddy Siegrist, Odyssey Sims, Crystal Bradford and Tyasha Harris selected their teams for the fourth and final week of the 2025 Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball season during Tuesday’s draft.
The four squads will start Week Four play at Nashville Municipal Auditorium on Thursday, February 27, as Team Bradford faces Team Sims at 5 p.m. CT, followed by Team Siegrist taking on Team Harris at 7:30 p.m. CT.
Here is a list of notes and tidbits related to the AU Pro Basketball Week Four draft.
- Ten different players have served as a captain during the 2025 Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball season, establishing a new league record … The previous high was nine captains during the 2023 campaign.
- Guard Odyssey Sims is serving as a captain for the 13th time in her Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball career, extending her league record … Only outside hitter Bethania De La Cruz-Mejía (volleyball) has been a captain in more weeks across all of Athletes Unlimited’s sports.
- Sims begins the final week of the 2025 campaign with an 18-18 career record as a team captain, including a 2-1 mark this season … Her 36 career games as a captain stand second across all AU sports behind De La Cruz-Mejía, while her 18 career victories rank as the third-highest total behind De La Cruz-Mejía (31) and lacrosse attacker Sam Apuzzo (27).
- Sims will face guards Crystal Bradford and Tyasha Harris as opposing captains for the first time in her AU Pro Basketball career, upping her career total to 18 different captains she has faced over four seasons … Sims has earned at least one win against 11 of the previous 16 team leaders while serving as a captain.
- Sims has now selected 62 different players to join her teams after taking forwards Alysha Clark and Asia Taylor and guards Kia Nurse and Jaylyn Sherrod for the first time in Week Four.
- Sims chose forward Isabelle Harrison with her first round pick, marking just the second time Sims has selected the former Tennessee standout to be on her team … It will also mark the fifth time the duo has been on the same team during their AU Pro Basketball careers, including the second time this season.
- Guards Taylor Mikesell and Kenisha Bell will be teammates with Sims for the second straight week after being taken in the sixth and seventh rounds, respectively, on Tuesday … Bell and Sims have been teammates in each of the last three weeks.
- Forward Maddy Siegrist closes the 2025 season as a captain in three consecutive weeks after earning the right to guide the Gold team into the final segment of the campaign … Siegrist has piloted her teams to an impressive 5-1 game record in the last two weeks along with a 20-4 record in quarters.
- Siegrist’s .833 win percentage as a team captain entering Week Four stands as the highest career mark among players who have served as a captain for multiple weeks.
- Guard/forward McKenzie Forbes is the only player Siegrist selected from her Week Three roster to join her again for the season’s final segment.
- Bradford makes her return to the captain’s chair for the second time this season after finishing Week Three in third place on the leaderboard … The Central Michigan product also served as a team leader in Week Two, earning a 1-2 record in her AU captain debut.
- Bradford will have two of her Week Three teammates – guard Shey Peddy and forward G’mrice Davis – joining her squad in Week Four.
- Tyasha Harris also begins her second stint as a team captain this season following a Week Three performance that elevated her to the No. 4 position on the leaderboard … Harris joined Bradford as first-time captains in Week Two and registered a 2-1 mark, including an 87-81 victory over Bradford in her debut.
- Tyasha Harris picked three of her Week Three teammates to join her squad in Week Four, including forwards Maya Caldwell and Dorie Harrison, and guard Kiara Leslie.
- Caldwell was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the Week Four draft by Team Harris, becoming the 11th player in AU Pro Basketball history to be the top choice in a weekly draft … A different player has been the No. 1 pick in each of the four weekly drafts during the 2025 campaign.
- Guard Evina Westbrook was selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the Week Four draft by Team Bradford, marking her highest position on the draft board this season.
- Guard Shey Peddy made a 12-position improvement on the Week Four draft board and claimed her highest draft selection of the season after going to Team Bradford with the No. 10 overall choice.
- Guard Rebecca Harris made the biggest jump on the draft board in Week Four, rising 13 spots from No. 30 to No. 17 … She was taken in the fifth round by Team [Tyasha] Harris on Tuesday.
- Rebecca Harris will also be wearing the Purple jersey for the seventh time in her AU career, the most instances of any jersey color.
- Guard Charisma Osborne and forward Lydia Rivers will hold the distinction of being the only players in the league to wear all four jersey colors this season … Conversely, no player in the league will have the honor of wearing the same jersey color in all four weeks this season.
- Guard Lexie Brown will wear the Blue jersey for the sixth time in her Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball career, including the second straight week … She has worn either Blue or Orange in 12-of-18 career weeks.
- Guard Taj Cole has been selected to the Gold team in five of her last six weeks dating back to last season … Prior to the current run, she wore the Gold jersey just one time in her first 12 AU Pro Basketball weeks, which came in Week Four during the 2023 campaign.
- Guard Sydney Colson will wear the Purple jersey for the seventh time in her AU Pro Basketball career, including the fourth time in the last five weeks dating back to last season … The four-year AU veteran has donned the Purple jersey more than any other color in her career.
- Isabelle Harrison is wearing the Orange jersey for the sixth time in her AU Pro Basketball career, including the fourth time in the last six weeks dating back to last season.
- Forward Theresa Plaisance has worn either Gold or Purple in seven consecutive weeks going back to last season after being taken by Team [Tyasha] Harris on Tuesday.
