Kailyn Hart
Biography
Personal: Hart is the daughter of Michael and Sharon Hart. She majored in business at Stony Brook, and her father played lacrosse at SUNY Cobleskill. Her sister, Kelsey, played lacrosse at Stony Brook in 2016 after a two-year career at Florida, while her brother, Michael, also played lacrosse at Stony Brook and football at Florida.
At Stony Brook: Hart was a five-year member of the Stony Brook women’s lacrosse team with 80 starts in 82 collegiate appearances. She is fifth in school history with 230 goals, including a career-best 73 scores as a graduate student. Hart is one of just six players in program history to record at least 300 points. She netted three or more goals in 14-of-20 games in 2024, including a pair of games with seven markers. Additionally, she was a two-time USA Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse All-America Honorable Mention pick and a member of the 2024 Tewaaraton Watch List. Hart earned a pair of IWLCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Team commendations, including a First-Team nod as a senior. She also garnered Second-Team All-Region distinction in 2024. Hart was a First-Team All-Coastal Athletic Association attacker who scored a career-best 73 goals with 19 assists while leading Seawolves to a second straight CAA title. She netted at least one goal in 19-of-20 games, including 14 hat tricks. Hart also erupted for seven goals against Delaware in a 17-4 victory on April 6, 2024, and tallied seven goals with an assist against Elon in a CAA semifinal victory. She started all 19 games as a senior and secured First-Team All-CAA laurels after ranking second in the league with 55 goals and 78 points. Additionally, she dished out 23 assists to rank sixth in the circuit, poured in seven points, including four assists, at Elon on March 25, 2023, and netted five goals at Drexel on April 2, 2023. Hart was honored as the 2022 America East Conference Attacker of the Year after scoring a league-high 27 goals against conference opponents and was a starter in 18-of-19 contests, amassing 78 points, including 64 goals. She was also a member of the 2021 America East All-Rookie Team, tallying 27 goals with 14 assists while earning a starting assignment in 18-of-19 contests. Moreover, she started all five games during a COVID-shortened rookie campaign, scoring 11 goals with two assists, and made two appearances on SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays. She was also a member of Inside Lacrosse All-Rookie Team.
