Courtney Taylor

Personal: Taylor is currently pursuing a Master's degree in business administration from Boston College. She played soccer, basketball, and lacrosse as a child and enjoys traveling and trying new restaurants with her friends. Her sister, Kirsten, played college soccer at Saint Leo University. Taylor credits her soccer coach, Paul Centofanti, and Boston College women's lacrosse coach Acacia Walker-Weinstein as individuals who have made a difference in her life. If she were not playing lacrosse, Taylor would have pursued a career as a soccer player. She participated in soccer, basketball, swimming, and gymnastics during her childhood.

2023 Season: Taylor was a member of Athletes Unlimited Pro Lacrosse All-Defensive Team. She earned 10th place in the final league standings with 1,131 leaderboard points. Taylor was a starter in all 12 games and accumulated 286 stat points, holding the eighth place in the league rankings. She paced the league with 21 caused turnovers and collected multiple caused turnovers in seven games. In the season finale against Team Glynn, Taylor notched a season-high four caused turnovers and also recorded three caused turnovers in back-to-back outings against Team Glynn on August 6 and against Team Apuzzo on August 10. Taylor registered five games with 100 or more leaderboard points, including a season-high 149 points in the final game against Team Glynn.

2022 Season: Taylor started all 12 games as a rookie and accumulated 1,173 leaderboard points. She had six games with 100 or more points and achieved a season-high of 202 leaderboard points in the Week Three finale against Team Colson. Taylor ranked third in the league with 17 caused turnovers, including 14 caused turnovers in the final five games. She recorded four caused turnovers in a game three times and contributed an assist, four ground balls, and two caused turnovers in the Week Four game against Team Moreno. Taylor was one of the 15 players selected in the Athletes Unlimited Pro Lacrosse College Draft.

International Experience: Taylor was one of the 12 players named to the Team USA roster for the 2023 World Lacrosse Women’s Super Sixes Event

At Boston College: Taylor started in all 22 games at Boston College after transferring as a graduate student from Temple. She had 90 draw controls, 32 ground balls, and 26 caused turnovers. In 2022, she was selected as a Second-Team IWLCA All-America and led the Eagles to the NCAA Championship Game. Taylor also received Second-Team All-America honors from USA Lacrosse Magazine and First-Team honors from Inside Lacrosse. At Temple, she played in 52 games, scoring one goal and providing two assists. She registered 139 ground balls, 58 draw controls, and 85 caused turnovers during her three seasons with the Owls. Taylor was recognized as a Third-Team IWLCA All-American in 2021 and was a two-time All-American Athletic Conference pick in 2019 and 2021.
