No, it’s free to play in the Athletes Unlimited Fantasy League.
Yes! Fans can join at any point during the season, even mid-game.
If you join mid-season, you will receive the minimum fantasy team points earned for each week that has already finished and any games missed for the week in progress. Your selected players will begin to earn points in their next available game.
Both the weekly and season tiebreaker must be submitted before your any of your selected players play in their next game.
To participate, you must be 13 years or older. Please note that officers, directors, managers, employees, staff, and players — as well as their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and members of the same household, whether or not related) — of Athletes Unlimited LLC and each of our respective parents subsidiaries, affiliates and related companies, are not eligible to participate or win a prize.
Once logged into the member portal, your Fantasy Username is created under the Profile tab.
You must create a username in order to access the Fantasy League. This username will become your Fantasy team name. Any changes to the username will not be reflected in existing Fantasy teams until the next season.
If you need to update your email address associated with your Fantasy League account, please reach out to [email protected].
If you need to reset your password, head to Profile in the Member Portal, select Forgot password, enter the email address associated with your account, and a password reset link will be sent to your email.
To ensure that all auprosports.com Fantasy League participants exercise good sportsmanship and maintain a fun environment, the following Fair Play and User Conduct rules apply throughout each fantasy season.
- Single Team Management – management of multiple teams in one league is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate dismissal.
- Appropriate Language, including Usernames – In all forms of communication on auprosports.com, including but not limited to Fantasy League usernames, threatening or derogatory language is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate dismissal.
- Inactivity – In order to maintain the integrity of the league, members of the Athletes Unlimited team may contact team managers of teams that remain inactive for extended periods of time.
- The first notification will be sent to the account email. If the team remains inactive after Athletes Unlimited sends an email to the inactive user, Athletes Unlimited reserves the right to deactivate the inactive team.
Once logged into the member portal, your Fantasy Username is available under the Profile tab. To view your Fantasy Team lineup, head to the Fantasy League tab.
Your Fantasy Username will be set in the Member Portal under Profile. Any use of threatening or derogatory language within your username is grounds for immediate dismissal.
This username will become your Fantasy team name. Any changes to the username will not be reflected in existing Fantasy teams until the next season.
Once you have created an account, head to the Fantasy League tab to set your lineup. Select the current season and Create to draft your players.
Your fantasy roster will consist of four players each week. Each sport will have two position requirements.
For Basketball, you must draft one guard and one forward with two utility spots that can be any position.
Player selection and tiebreaker entry for your fantasy team opens after the completion of the player draft each week.
You may start to set your lineup at the conclusion of the weekly player draft. You will have till the 10 minutes before the start of the first game of the week to select your players.
For example, Basketball Week 1 Draft is on Sunday, February 19 at 12pm ET/11 am CT and Week 1 Game 1 is on Thursday, February 23 at 6pm ET/5pm CT. Fans will have from 1pm ET/12pm CT on February 19 to 5:50pm ET/4:50pm CT on Thursday February 23 to draft their players.
Your player selections and tiebreakers will rollover week-to-week. If you do not make any changes after selecting players Week 1, your Week 1 players and tiebreaker entry will remain on your team for subsequent weeks.
Athletes Unlimited reserves the right to remove any teams who violate our inactivity policy.
Throughout Athletes Unlimited seasons, players may become unavailable due to injury or known absences, which will impact that player’s ability to receive points. Any updates will be announced and confirmed on the Player Status page of each sport.

If a player is injured mid-game, you will receive the leaderboard points they have accumulated for that day. Once their player status has been confirmed, you will be able to swap that player out in your lineup. You will have till the 10 minutes before the start of the first game of the week to sub out the injured player.
For example, if a player is injured in Basketball Week 1 Game 1 on Thursday and they are confirmed inactive, you must swap out that player by the start of Game 3 (Friday at 6 pm ET/5pm CT).
No, trades are not allowed during the week once games begin. Fans will only have the opportunity to swap a player on their roster if they become injured during the week.
Players with known absences will not be able to be replaced mid-week.
Your fantasy team will accumulate points as your selected players earn leaderboard points each week. Players earn leaderboard points based on stats, quarter wins, game wins and MVP honors. Learn more about the Athletes Unlimited Point System for each sport: Basketball, Lacrosse, Softball, and Volleyball.
If you meet the eligibility requirements, you will have the opportunity to earn the following prizes each season, including the Season Champion prize pack, weekly top leaderboard winners, and more. Prizes will be announced at the start of the season.
Winners will be contacted via email once the fantasy points and tiebreakers have been finalized.
There will be one weekly leaderboard prize awarded at the end of each game week for the fan who has the highest weekly points. Your fantasy team’s points are the sum of the players’ leaderboard points you selected for the week. A user can only win the weekly prize one week per season. Eligibility requirements apply. There will be one grand prize pack at the end of each season for the fan who has the highest overall points for the season. Your fantasy team will accumulate points as your selected players earn leaderboard points each week. Eligibility requirements apply. Please see our Terms and Conditions for full details.

Entry for the season tiebreaker opens after the completion of the first player draft.
Entry for the weekly tiebreakers open after the completion of the player draft each week.
In the event of a tie on the leaderboard, winners will be selected based on the following criteria. Tiebreakers will be finalized and reflected on the leaderboard at the end of each week.
Fans are required to submit their weekly tiebreaker leaderboard point prediction after the set their weekly lineup. Weekly Tiebreakers, like lineups, will rollover week-to-week.
If fans remain tied at the end of the week, they will continue to be scored against the subsequent tiebreakers.
- Gold Captain Leaderboard Point Prediction: closest prediction to actual leaderboard points scored by the #1 leaderboard player (Gold) for the week.
- First to lock in team selection.
In the event of a tie on the leaderboard, winners will be selected based on the following criteria. Tiebreakers will be finalized and reflected on the leaderboard at the end of the season.
Fans are required to submit their season tiebreaker leaderboard point prediction after the set their initial lineup.
If fans remain tied at the end of the season, they will continue to be scored against the subsequent tiebreakers.
- Highest stat points accumulated across the season.
- Highest win points accumulated across the season.
- Season Champion Leaderboard Point Prediction: closest prediction to actual leaderboard points scored by the Champion
